What is the aim of your examination process?
Essentially, it’s finding out what’s going on and how we can address it. That may seem reasonably straightforward, but it’s really interesting how many opinions there are as to what tests to do, in which order and in what circumstances. There seems to be a lot of confusion and very little consistency between clinicians. The more complex the condition, and the more interactions there are, the more thorough and complex will your assessment need to be.
Developing a consistent, repeatable examination process will save you time and provide more positive outcomes for you and your patients.
