Plantar Pressure Data Acquisition and Analysis for Treadmill

Core Information

Assessing your patient’s gait using a treadmill with a built in plantar pressure system is an excellent way of obtaining information about your patient’s running, especially when used alongside video of the gait.

For meaningful anaylsis of both plantar pressure and video data it’s important to have good acquisition protocols to obtain high quality data that will lead you to a diagnosis and a treatment plan for your patients.

This course will take you through the process of acquisition and analysis of data obtained from a Sensor Medica plantar pressure treadmill.

Accurate analysis of dynamic plantar pressure data enables you to provide an accurate diagnosis of your patient’s foot and leg dysfunction.

Dynamic plantar pressure analysis provides an accurate and objective comparison when you analyse the plantar pressure again after intervention and treatment. This allows you to provide a treatment plan which will reduce, manage and redirect the excessive forces and provide you with the confidence that the underlying cause is being addressed, as well as the symptoms.

This course is approximately 60 minutes of content in three lessons. An Achievement Certificate is issued at the completion of this course.
